This hotel (in a house that once belonged to the Hermés family) features five suites (4 junior, one deluxe) and two large bedrooms by renowned contemporary artists; owner and manager Morgane Rousseau is a well-known curator. This is a world away from stuffy heritage-style accommodation, it’s a whole lot of fun wrapped up in a heritage package.
In the rooms themselves – which are all uniquely decorated with a mix of contemporary and historic themes – there is wallpaper with plant illustrations produced from a photo by Martine Aballéa, an ingenious installation by Pierre Fichefeux which enables guests to record a message for the next guests, and a display of poems and hats by Olivier Saillard among other things.
Classic movies and art books are available to borrow from the library downstairs.
It’s also possible to rent the whole hotel.
