Part design boutique, part coffee bar, the location is prime in the 9th arrondissement, around the corner from Hotel Amour, a block from rue des Martyrs, and just a few steps away from a handful of restaurants with sprawling terraces. Additionally, it’s an area full of locals, giving the neighborhood extra charm.
The design side of the shop strives to include a range of products and creations you won’t find elsewhere in the city. Benoît is always striving to discover new artists. One of my favorite parts of the shop is the “Made in Paris 9ème” where little signs mark all of the work created by local artisans. Benoît is more than happy to share his knowledge about his products with you. There’s also a few pieces of vintage furniture in the mix.
Straight ahead, the coffee bar awaits, striving for quality over quantity (and they even offer to go cups). You can even ask to see Benoît’s barista certificate; he was trained at La Caféothèque.
Le Rocketship is located at 13 bis rue Henry Monnier in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. It is located between the Saint-Georges (12) and Pigalle (2, 12) metros. Closed on Sunday and Monday. For more information, visit their official website, or like them on Facebook, for the latest news from the shop.
