Musée Gustave Moreau

Arguably Pigalle’s most impressive cultural spot, Musée Gustave Moreau is an artistic heaven dedicated to the works of the symbolist master. Originally the artist’s dwelling, today it hosts an archive of his assets, from the remains of his apartment on the first floor to the personal studio where he created his work. The highlight, however, sits at the top of the building: an ornate, rounded staircase which centralises an immaculate room of his most impressive works. Make sure to arrive early to have the place to yourself.
