Stroll into the wonderful Palais Royal, a few steps from the Louvre but quite off the tourist beat; in the Galerie de Valvois running down one side is Les Salons du Palais Royal.
Here you will find Serge Lutens’s signature store. The boutique itself is a perle rare, the purple art deco finish makes it a seductive place to try the heady mixes.
Lutens is based in Morocco and favours seductive spicy tones with evocative names like “Tubéreuse Criminelle” .
It’s a place that could easily transport you to the days when the Palais Royal was the exclusive domain of Paris’ top filles de joie!
