As soon as the sun starts shining the word on everyone’s lips is “terrasse”. Parisians are on a constant quest to discover the best place to soak up that prized Vitamin D, and there is an ongoing discussion around the pros and cons of each alfresco drinking and dining option. Restaurant and bar Les Nautes finally gives you the chance to have the last word in this debate, with a spacious terrace tucked away below street level right next to the Seine, located a hop, skip and a jump from the Marais at Quai des Celestins. Previously confined to a simple container bar, now the more sizeable operations are run out of an abandoned Ports of Paris building, with a good selection of food and drinks including oysters when available. Spend your next Sunday spent riverside, stretched out on one of their large benches or sipping and snacking the day away at the big tables, watching the passing parade of boats, cyclists and rollerbladers. It doesn’t get much better than this!
